What is CoP
- Shared interest. The INTERFACE CoP has an identity defined by a shared domain of interest and related topics: key transversal skills development to support sustainable economic regeneration in a post-COVID Europe and to support VET professionals to address the challenges faced by VET providers in a post-COVID-19 service provision reality.
- Membership. INTERFACE CoP members are committed to the domain and to the INTERFACE philosophy.
- Engagement. INTERFACE CoP Members may pursue their interest in this domain, by engaging in joint activities and discussions, by helping each other, and by sharing information, experiences and good practices.
- Relationships. Within the CoP, relationships can naturally grow, enabling INTERFACE CoP members to learn from each other and participate in collaborative work to achieve innovation in CVET.
Terms of Reference
The project is implemented between November 2021 and December 2023 and it is co-funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
Within this timeframe, the project partnership aims to create a compendium of interactive learning resources for the development of key transversal skills of support low-skilled workers and trainees to retain and sustain employment in the months and years ahead. It provides a range of progressive learning resources designed to achieve specific and agreed learning outcomes for 10 of the most sought-after transversal skills by employers namely; digital literacy, entrepreneurial spirit, -critical and creative thinking, leadership, innovation, problem solving, teamwork, work ethic, communication and intergenerational relationships. The INTERFACE methodology considers difference in levels of prior knowledge within each workforce. Hence, learning materials are provided at introductory, intermediate, advanced and expert levels to support a clear learning progression and ensure that no potential learner is excluded.
In summary, the objectives of the INTERFACE project are to:
- Promote the acquisition of key transversal skills through the use of alternative pedagogical resources in work-based learning settings
- Support VET professionals from within education and work to develop their own digital and pedagogic skills to create challenge-based learning resources in an interdisciplinary way
- Develop an accreditation model for the validation and recognition of transversal skills through the use of micro-credentials and digital badges.
- Create a system for the communication of transversal skills through a peer-led Community of Practice.
